The Modern pedestal sink is an 85 cm porcelain column with the basin set into its top, standing on the floor with no vanity unit. Modern has a recessed shelf for the tap beside a deep square basin: the tap stands low, below the top surface, for a sculpted look.
The column is made to measure: 50 to 120 cm wide and 35 to 60 cm deep. Pick from the list (600, 800, 1000 or 1200 mm wide, 450 mm deep) or enter an exact figure under "Other – specify mm". Tap position is set on the order: on the shelf, aligned centre, back or front, or no hole at all for a wall-mounted tap.
The corners are mitred at 45°, so the porcelain veining runs round the column unbroken. A plumbing access opening sits in the back panel.
More than 30 porcelain slab finishes in 9, 10, 12 and 14.5 mm, made in-house by Stonewood. Catalogue sizes: 60, 80 or 100 × 45 × 85 cm. Porcelain does not absorb water, so it resists stains, heat and scratching; warm water, mild soap and a soft cloth are enough day to day. Choose width, depth, tap position and finish on this page.
Frequently asked questions
Can I order a size that is not on the list?
Yes. The list shows widths of 600, 800, 1000 and 1200 mm and a depth of 450 mm, but every Modern column is made to order at any width from 50 to 120 cm and any depth from 35 to 60 cm: choose "Other – specify mm" and enter the exact figure. The height is fixed at 85 cm. The column is made to within ±2 mm of the size you order.
How is the pedestal sink built, and how is it installed?
Modern arrives as a complete porcelain column with the basin set into its top, standing on the floor with no vanity unit. The plumbing runs through an access opening in the back panel, and the tap hole is cut on the shelf or left out for a wall-mounted tap. We can also install the sink, at an additional cost.
Which finishes can I choose, and how thick is the slab?
Modern comes in more than 30 porcelain finishes, in 9, 10, 12 and 14.5 mm slabs. The corners are mitred at 45°, so the finish and its veining run round the column unbroken.
What is the lead time, what does delivery cost, and what warranty applies?
Every sink is cut and machined to order, in the size and finish you choose, so it is not a shelf product. The lead time is 14 business working days, which is the time until your sink is ready to ship from us. We deliver throughout Israel: ₪350 to the central region and ₪700 beyond it. The sink carries a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects; chips, cracks and damage after installation are not covered.
